We are please to announce that the UK's first Retail Shop Link Scheme using its own Trunked Radio System is currently being installed in Coventry City Centre.

The scheme operates with a four channel MPT1327 trunk using Fylde Radio trunking infrastructure.

Approximately 250 Motorola GP1200 and GP680 radios are being supplied to shops, retailers, pubs, restaurants, clubs, the local Police Force and many other City Centre organisations to provide a better and safer environment for all the citizens of Coventry. We have recently added some 48 pubs and clubs to the scheme to enable door staff and others to communicate with each other and the control room monitoring the cameras.

Apart from the normal Trunked radio benefits, the scheme is integrated into the new control room provided by City Centre Company ( Coventry ) Limited, and provides direct Police access by radio and telephone interconnect.

Fylde infrastructure was chosen for its reliability and its advanced features, after our many years experience of using it.

By virue of a unique partnership between ourselves and City Centre Company ( Coventry ) Ltd, the benefits of Trunked radio system have been brought to retaillers for a cost which is little more than the conventional radio systems that the Trunked Radio Scheme replaces. To find out how we can offer the same package for your Retail Radio Link please email mike@mwc.co.uk
