- Signalling
The fully compliant MPT signalling package includes MPT1343, Regionet 43 and ANN modes of operation. Radios are configurable for up to 60 personalities including Talkgroup Select and Conventional signalling.
- Data Messaging and MAP27
Includes a built-in pager with the capability of sending or receiving a data message.
- Voice Storage
- Dictaphone: a paperless notepad allowing you to store and retrieve voice messages.
- Answerphone: a voice prompt for callers to leave a voice message to be stored in the radio.
- X-Pand™ Voice Compression and Low Level Expansion
Crisp, clear and strong audio quality in virtually any noisy environment. Low level expansion allows further improvements in audio quality by reducing noise usually heard during pauses in conversation.

This large 4-line alphanumeric display contains a battery gauge and signal quality indicator and provides separate distinctive tones plus name decode for many incoming calls.

- Dynamic Regrouping
Provides over-the-air reconfiguration of the radio plus download of group identity in a meaningful alpha-numeric form.
- Missed Call Alerts
The radio can store incoming caller identities, status, and voice messages when the user is absent, and remind the user of unanswered messages.
- Option Board Expandability
You can expand the capabilities of the GP1280 by adding option boards.
